Utilities of, and barriers to, 'Community Scholar' as an identity

Abstract

Given that this is a short opinion piece it has no official abstract but in short it makes the following argument More high quality evidence and more diverse evidence is needed to inform policy discourses from the local to global level including as they relate to marginalized groups such as disabled people.  This article argues that the concept of community scholar with the meaning of the community member being the scholar  might be a useful identity to use to address that problem on various fronts.
